Last year's
staff
sounds
off...
Where else (but camp) can you spend all
day outside doing what you love and at the
same time know that you are making an
amazing difference in the lives of young
people?
Camp gives you a unique opportunity to play
and help our youth grow into responsible
adults. In just a few days you can watch
them grow mentally and physically and in the
end it is hard to let go. Sometimes you end
up in situations that help you grow as a
person, too, and you make some great
friends along the way.
Camp is the most amazing place to work at,
with an incredibly positive atmosphere. You
will make friends that last for the rest of your
life and you get to work with girls and make a
difference in their lives.
At camp, you get to help girls become the
women they are going to be. You get to
show them positive relationships and proper
behaviors. You also make friends you will
remember and memories that will last a
lifetime. You get to make a positive
difference in a girl's world!
One of the best feelings in the world is to
have a child look up to you as their hero and
role model. This is something that I, along
with many other counselors, have
experienced at camp.
Camp is the one place you can have the time
of your life working with amazing people,
making money, and touching the lives of the
campers you work with.
It was hot, sweaty, and really hard work, but
making great friends and watching kids
change because of something you did or
said is the kind of magic that makes it all
worthwhile.
Some people search their lifetimes for gold
and riches. Others have the chance to
experience priceless events every day. From
the smiles, laughter and friendships, working
at camp has an endless amount of hidden
treasures to discover.
What makes me come back year after year
is having the privilege to make a positive
impact on the lives of all my campers and
staff. In what other one job can you be a
teacher, a mother, a friend, a sister, a hero, a
coach and yourself?
